Gorgeous Bridal Party In Sun Valley Idaho…

A couple of months ago I was the 2nd shooter for a wedding at the Sun Valley Lodge, in Sun Valley Idaho with my best friend and fellow wedding portrait photographer, Jessica Jean Photography (click her name for her FB). She is an amazing photographer in the Sun Valley area.

The venue was immaculate and the bride and groom were very easy on the eyes. But the bride’s bridal party is what really caught my eye. I love that they made Gothic look so damn classy! I don’t want to be quoted saying this, but I almost wish there were more than two to photograph! Though smaller wedding parties are the “chefs kiss!”.

Anyway, back in March I went to WPPI, and one of the presenters, Vanessa Joy mentioned that they catch a “headshot” of each one of the members of the wedding party and I just loved that idea. So I have been doing that this year while 2nd shooting with Jessica Jean Photography (this link is her website) and I really do love them. I think they like the moment of recognition for all the work they put into looking incredible for their friend or family’s big day.

Gosh, I wish being a 2nd shooter all the time was economical for me, haha. It is so nice to be able to see the wide angle of things a bit more. When you are the main photographer it is like you black out for 8 hours and then wake up wondering what happened... jk. I excel in either role, I enjoy navigating weddings.

Anyway, wedding planning season is closing in on us. Who are you going to interview for your big day? I am ready with resume in hand :)
