Wedding Day Giggles

These two got married in Meridian Idaho years ago now. But their wedding day was a special one for me. It was my first big wedding since I had begun shooting a couple of years before. I was a bit out of my league. The phrase luxury wedding photographer had never even slipped out of my mouth.

I knew it was going to look amazing and photograph well. But I was nervous about EVERYTHING and NOTHING all at once.

The bride and I had done shoots together in the past so we already had a connection which helped a lot. But weddings were scary!

I am grateful my nerves have calmed down during weddings these days. But that feeling gave me drive. I wanted to make myself proud, which I did. I love these photos. I can’t believe how long it has been.

It still took a while for me to LOVE shooting weddings, but I am there. The challenge of making stunning photos in any setting is a fun game we get to play while trying to keep up with a schedule that has already passed, leaving you with 10 minutes to get the images the couple has been dreaming of and then be ready to move on to the next thing. I guess I thrive in chaos!
